Short Term Volunteers

Short-term volunteer teams and Mission Trips

To have a successful volunteer trip planning is necessary.  We usually have building or construction projects that need doing.  To name a few: building cabinets, furniture, painting, landscaping, etc.   It’s customary to bring enough money to fund the project you intend to build.  Consult with us ahead of time to make sure all the pieces get put together.

Working with the children and especially taking a few days to teach English are high on the priority list of the school next door.  Sorting clothes and giving them out to local children are always fun.  The children in our tutorial program enjoy the extra attention whether it’s helping with homework, doing crafts or playing sports.

We recommend that you mix the work with a little fun.  Lake Atitlan is an adventure and shopping at the local markets is enjoyable. Google Lake Atitlan or Panajachel and see all the great things to do.

We expect all volunteer teams to bring donations.  We always need infant formula and school supplies.  Make sure you check with us to know what else might be pressing
